Since I am a senior in high school this year (its almost finally over!), I am required to take Economy so I can graduate. For the few days I've been in there, I have learned that economy is the study of how people spend money on stuff they want. This had me thinking. In a way I was disgusted at this idea. I thought the economy was for things like retirement and food and clothing, but I was wrong. I chose therefore to live my life in 'naturalistic' ways instead of for consumerism. No, this doesn't mean I'm going to be nude but nearly means I'm going to live life, enjoying Gods creation. I'm definitely going to try to work with something I love, working not for the pay but for the experiences and joy that job will bring. Non of this 'I hate my job' or 'my job stresses me out' crap I hear day in and day out from the majority. If I don't like it, I'm not doing it, especially cubicle jobs! There's plenty of money in the world, I just don't want it. I'll finish this entry by a famous quote by Confucius:
"If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life."
Keep it Fredtastic!

Wow, nice blog, and great post.
ReplyDeleteThis is an idea that the program "48 Days to the Work You Love" is based on. It encourages adults who have lost interest in their jobs to figure out what they love and go do it.
